Happy Thursday! Today is the last day of the week because we have a 4 day weekend! We started class by annotating and reading a poem. For me that ended shortly because I was. BHM participant so got to leave class early. Have a nice weekend!

Happy Monday! Today we have a sub. We did an assignment in common lit after reading chapter 8 of The Great Gatsby. It's super rainy today, like heavy rain. I like rain at night but not during the. day when I have the possibility of getting wet. Have a nice day.

Happy Friday! Today we began class with a BHM bellringer about Ketanji Brown Jackson. she was the first African American judge to serve in the SCOTUS. After that we made a t-chart about how you can be respectful/disrespectful to different cultures. lastly we finished presenting. Have a nice weekend!

Happy Thursday! Today our class is cut short because of an anti-bullying presentation during homeroom. We are presenting our projects today. I went second, so it was nice to get it out of the way. I liked all the different ideas people had for their projects. Excited for Friday, have a nice day!

Happy Tuesday! Today in class we started chapter 7. We read about half of it. Kenis and I read for our table. Once we were done reading we answered questions. Today was a good day. I like reading in class. Have a nice day!

Happy Monday! Today in class we worked on our min projects. I chose Daisy as my character. I finished thinking of all the items you'd find in her trashcan and why. I also started my presentation. I'm going to finish it by the end of tomorrow. Doing this project is helping me think more deeply of the characters. Have a nice day!

Happy Friday! Today we began class with a common assessment. Once that was completed we got a mini project. I think I'm going to do the 2nd option, the trash you would find for your character. This is an interesting project. Have a nice weekend!

Happy Thursday! There was a sub today, so we did the assignment posted in canvas. We had to read chapter 6 and then answer questions. so far I enjoy the book and learning more about the characters. Hearing more about Gatsby's past is really interesting. It's almost the weekend! Yay!
