 Happy Thursday! Only one more day unit spring break! We aren't doing anything today since we're about to leave this class to do the EOC stress test. Excited to have a week off of school. Have a nice day!

Happy Tuesday! Today we have a short class because of the assembly later. With our time in class we talked about the story we used yesterday. We went through the whole thing and talked as a class. That's all we did. Have a nice day!

 Happy Monday! Today we read and answered some questions. The reading is kind of long but you answer questions along the way. So there is a lot of pausing. For homework we are going to read the whole passage. Today was pretty easy. Have a ncie day!

 Happy Thursday! Today we are writing argumentative paragraphs. We used our assignments form Tuesday on this. I am very glad I actually did the assignment from Tuesday because I really helped with today's assignment. All I really had to add was the conclusion. We did this all of class and then peer reviewed. That's all. Have a nice day!

 Happy Tuesday! Today we worked on more claims assignments. This assignment was called "writing evidence". We used the claims we made on Monday and supported them with evidence. We had two articles to used to support our claims. Two of them were on sports compensation and the other two were on the effects of social media. The assignment was pretty easy since we already had our claims. Have a nice day!

 Happy Monday! Today we went over claims. We got an assignment to make our own claims. With the assignment we got a prompt and had to make a claim that was for and against the prompt. I liked this assignment because it is fun to make a argument for two sides. Have a nice day!

 Happy Friday! Today we got a new assignment in canvas. The assignment is on identifying claims. We read an article and found the claims within it. I worked with the people around me so that made it a little more fun. Have a nice weekend!

 Happy Pi day! Today Mr. Rease was not here. We began class with another newsela assignment. Once I finished that, I completed my benchmark. I'm glad I managed my time well, because now I don't have to go to sail to finish it. Have a nice Thursday!

 Happy Tuesday! Today we got another Newsela assignment. It was interesting because it's about child labor. We read it and answered the questions. That was  it. Have a nice day!

 Happy Monday! Today is the first day back after our 3 day weekend. I'm going to miss our 4 day weeks. We worked on an assignment on Newsela. It was about tech and the future, which I think is an interesting topic. Have a nice day!

 Happy Wednesday! Today we didn't do much. We had a benchmark to complete. I've never really liked doing benchmarks. The passages are long a boring. I think this is the last one though! Have a nice day!

  Happy Monday! Today we got a new poem. This on was not by Langston Hughes. The poem was about what's cool. It wasn't my favorite, but it was fine. Have a nice day!

 Happy Friday! Today we started on our jam board projects. The poems are about our culture. I am writing my poem about the beauty of the Black community. I'm ready for the weekend. Have a nice one!

 Happy Leap Day! We started class by taking a test. It was on most of the Langston Hughes poems we've been going over. Some of the questions were tricky because multiple answers didn't seem wrong but I chose the best options. I think I scored well. Have a nice day!

 Happy Tuesday! Today we got a new poem by Langston Hughes. It is called "Let America Be America Again.". This was a long poem. We only got through the poem but only one of the questions. Have a nice day!
